Hello, I am new to Darktable (v.4.0), and looked at quite a bit of Youtube instructional videos and read some of the manual to get me started. In particular those of Aurélien Pierre, who is very knowlegeable. Its still a bit muddled for now but I was hoping to achieve acceptable results for a set of pictures shot in Raw (and jpeg) which will be outputed to Cinelerra video editor to combine stop motion-ish pics with video.
I attempted to follow a basic filmic pipeline, then masked and desaturated & blurred the background masked exposed the face and created a custom style. When I applied my style to my set of similar photos there is a shift in contrast and colour with a good number of the pictures. They were shot with same cloudy lighting and settings, and looked the same when imported in lightroom. I did create duplicates so I can still fix things and try to re-apply a ''better'' style.
Are there some specific modules that are best to fine tune for each single picture and should not be checkmarked when creating a style? (note: when I created my style, I checkmarked ALL the module settings that I used, including exposure, denoise, chomatic abberation, white balance, filmic rgb and tone equalizer, colour correction, colour balance RBG, sharpten, blurr).
If requested, needed I could upload a sample picture unalterated from lightroom and the picture that I modelled for my custom style, and a picture that has the tonal shift.
