Repeated crashes when exporting in Darktable 4, Ubuntu 22.10

Whenever I try to export an image as JPEG or PNG from Darktable, the application crashes. Sometime it manages to complete the export before crashing, more often it doesn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but the problem remains. I also have Darktable 4.0 on a Windows machine, and it exports without problem. Any idea where I should start in fixing this?

I have uninstalled Darktable 4 and installed 3.8. Once I got past the problem of a couple of unmet dependencies, and deleted some side-car files which had been generated by DT 4, the new installation appears to work fine with no crashes on file export.

Interesting. DT publishes their know bugs and fixes etc on Github so maybe have a look there to see if its a known problem. You can also report issues to them

What was your darktable source? If your are running OpenCL try shutting it off as it is always suspect on Lunix with darktable. If it was a upgrade you could always try using the default settings file (darktablerc.backup). I'm running 4.0.1 on Fedora 36 and have no export issues.
