Image Information Shows Lens but Not on Exif After Export

System: Ubuntu 20.04.1
Darktable Version: 3.4.0

Hi everyone,

I just noticed that my uploads on Flickr do not have the lens serial and lens name after processing my photos using Darktable. When I compared Exif files to photos that show the lens name, I noticed that mine doesn't after exporting.

My image information shows the lens type:

Camera JPEGs do not have this issue.

I would like to be able to input the lens name as I really, really like this programme.

What could I be missing here? Cheers.

Hmm I just took a Fuji Raw, processed, exported as Jpeg, then re-imported the Jpeg into DT and the lens info is all there. Try this yourself with one of your images, if it works then it is not DT but something else in your process workflow

MrSteveVee I find it very unusual because when I did the same, Darktable shows the Lens name on the lens name. The Flickr upload doesn't have it, though.

SooC JPEGs through the camera transfer via WiFi show the lens name on Flickr but not SooC JPEGs that are taken directly from the SD card.

If the lens info is there after re-import of the exported jpeg then it is looking like the workflow to upload to Flickr is at fault not darktable
To prove this I would look to find another program that runs on your OS that shows all of an image EXIF data. If that can also see the lens data on the exported image then you know darktable is not the problem
