Finding imported files

Possibly stupid question, but I've searched for the answer to no avail - how do I search for an image based on its file name?

platform: MacOS
version: 3.4.0

The panes of the Darktable's Lighttable window include:
. Import
. Collect images
. Recently used collections
. Image information
, Lua scripts installer
. View
. Select
. Selected images
. History stack
. Styles
. Metadata editor
. Tagging
. Geotagging
. Export selected

'select' seems the most appropriate, but it doesn't seem to allow entry of text / metadata for searching (I'd double check, but now my copy of DarkTable isn't loading ... )

On the left pane in lightable view under the "collect Images" you will see "film roll" with a down pointing triangle, this is the default view to see your image collection.
Click the triangle and there will be a lot of options to search and navigate (I personally always use Folder so it mimicsa my drive folder hierarchy).
One of the optoins id Filename. Select that and next to the word "filename" is a text box for you to put in the filename you are looking for. Look at the manual for wild cards and ranges syntax etc
