Hi All, Hope you all had a Merry/Happy Christmas. I am new to forums and would like to find out if Darktable can be integrated with Affinity Photo so I can process DAM type & Raw and the do any final tweak's in AP and store back in DT so I can find them again. Have checked AfterShot Pro 3 (trial) & Capture One Express {free-Nikon) versions and both can process (NEF) file send to AP and back again.
But I would like to start cataloguing with DT and use AP occasionally as the Inpainting brush is the best ever, gets rid of almost anything. Wishfully hoping?

Unfortunatly not that I am aware of. There is a new 3.4 version out now I believe so it "might" have changed but I doubt it.
The only way I can suggest is to export the image from dt to a stated directory, edit in AP and when finished, import the image back into dt then group them together if you wish

Thanks Steve, Maybe one day soon the developers will have a open with script.

LUA scripts already exist.
Openinexplorer & ext-editors. The latter is probably the one you want.
Note on Windows Affinity will appear as
'Photo 1' in the list of external editors.
