Here are a couple of cropped SFW examples of what I'm dealing with:
So far, my go-to for quick and dirty image improvement has been Contrast Equalizer -> Luma, and dragging the “Noisy” line up toward the halfway mark. In model shots, It helps a great deal to smooth out blemishes, stretch-marks and the like. I kind of stumbled into it, and I don't even really know why it works, which should give you some of the level of experience I am operating at at the moment =) Anyway, that doesn't seem to help much in this case.
What are "Lab A & B" channels? And what is the default DT noise-reduction setting?
Thanks for introducing me to the "lowpass" module. After playing with it for a bit, I think it has potential to help me, and not just in this case. Between that and manipulating the base curve things have improved a great deal (though perhaps at some expense of other aspects of the shots). Anyway, I have some things to try; thank you both for the feedback.
